Consistent High Precision CNC Bending

We are a full-service, end-to-end sheet metal fabrication business, so precision folding is only one of the many services we provide.

Most press brakes today use air bending. This is a process where a sophisticated control determines the depth that the punch extends into the lower die. Air bending takes much less tonnage than bottom bending or coining.

More complicated parts require interface with a CNC back gauge to allow the operator to more accurately position metal for forming.

At Wenda Sheet Metal, our customers value us not just for our cost-effective punching, but for the end-to-end fabrication services we can deliver to turn flat metal into finished components – including precision folding.

Folding takes the sheet metal ‘developments’ that we have punched for you, and transforms them into three-dimensional form, with shape, purpose, and structure.

We can precision fold chassis, frames, cabinets, brackets, and many more component types to correspond exactly to the functional and aesthetic requirements of your original drawing or design.

Our factory houses a range of precision CNC sheet metal folding machines with the versatility to meet even the most complex projects. In keeping with our punching capacities, our largest Ursviken press brake is capable of bending 3m lengths of various materials & thicknesses, and is capable of accurately positioning cut parts to achieve high quality and precise bends.

Wenda’s continued investment in modern CNC press brakes ensures we are able to form simple and intricate parts with consistent bending accuracy and efficiency. These machines allow us to store pre-programmed settings for each of our many different products. The storage of pre-programmed measurements and controls ensures we can quickly change from job to job and still maintain quality. This saves time and possible operator error as individual information does not need to be input each time we form a product part. Furthermore, it ensures production precision from one batch to the next.

Wenda have an extensive stock of form tooling including tools for Dutch folds, radius and are capable of forming many complex folds as well as mark-free forming.

We are also able to roll material for given sizes if this is a requirement, from our trusted supply chain.

Each press brake has its own speciality within the factory but, due to the range of machines and tooling, we can be flexible with our approach, therefore offering quick turnaround when needed.

If your products require special tooling this can also be sourced.
